Ellen Barkin won $4.3 million over ex-husband Revlon Billionaire Ronald Perelman
Popular actress Ellen Barkin won $4.3 million. Not from lotto but from her ex-husband Ronald Perelman, a Revlon Billionaire. Justice Debra James, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice, ordered Perelman to pay Ellen Barkin that amount of money as a fund infusion into her film production company. Ellen and Ronald are co-founders of the said company before their divorce together with Ellen’s brother, George, who was formerly the editor in chief of National Lampoon and High Times.
At first, Ellen Barkin wanted a settlement between $20 and $60 million, but after so much recollection, she thinks that amount of money is not enough. And so, she decided to file a separate a suit against her ex-husband and asked for another $4.3 million.
An Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries: Before Women Had Wings in 197, Ellen Barkin is the mother of two children, Jack Daniel and Romy Marion, from her first marriage to actor Gabriel Byrne. The two separated in 1993 and divorced in 1999, but are still close; Byrne even attended Barkin’s 2000 wedding to Revlon Billionaire businessman Ronald Perelman. New York Magazine reported that the marriage was ended in a messy divorce in 2006 with Ellen Barkin receiving $40 million. Ellen Barkin has been rumored to have a relationship with actor Al Pacino, but she denied it in a Bravo TV interview which was aired on May 6, 2010 in “Watch What Happens Live.”
Before the separation, Ron Perelman promised to fund a film production company that Ellen Barkin and her brother George Barkin would operate. Ellen Barkin signed a contract to create four capital contributions per year to Applehead Pictures in 2006 and 2007 with a total of $3.4 million. But Ronald Perelman contested the agreement that it was null and void becuase Ellen Barkin allegedly violated their divorce agreement. Ronald accused Ellen of speaking publicly by not taking legal steps to acquire a “get” divorce document in Jewish Law.
Manhattan court already ordered Perelman $3.4 million plus interest for a total of $4.3 million.
