What happened in the previous episode prior to Dragon Ball Kai 58? Synopsis: Inside a space pod that crashed lands on 
Earth, Goku loomed at last. It was a long three hours of travel for him, but nonetheless, it’s worth waiting a man willing to do sacrifices for the sake of some. Celebration however is not yet time as the mystic teenager dragged Goku and brought somewhere else for private interaction. After the mystic teenager tested Goku’s Super Saiyan powers with satisfaction, the teenager disclosed his name at last – Trunks. He further revealed that he is coming from an apocolyptic future 20 years from the present. He also claimed that he is the forthcoming son of Bulma and Vegeta.
Furthermore, Trunks informed Goku – some sort of prophecy – that in a period of three years as they speak, a pair of deadly androids will begin to hit the mother Earth and shall kill all Z Fighters. These deadly androids are believed to be built by Dr. Gero of the former Red Ribbon Army. These androids however will fail to harm Goku, but will die instead from a heart virus some time before their assault.
Trunks, the mysterious teenager, then gave Goku enough supplies of a heart antidote that Future Bulma made for him. Trunks instructed Goku in a detailed manner to take the antidote substance when the virus attacks him to shield him from harm. In return, Goku promised that he will what he ought to do especially the needed training together with Z Fighters for the next three years in preparation for the danger that the androids’ assault bring. Trunks, sensing that his mission has been fully accomplished returned back to the future through his time machine.
